1:1 Chromebook Initiative
Dear Parents and Guardians:
We are excited to announce that in January 2018, all students in Grades 3-12 will check out a district-loaned Chromebook to take home and bring back to school daily. This initiative will help accomplish our district’s mission that every student will graduate ready for college and well-prepared for careers of the future.
Students are currently using Chromebooks daily in the classroom to access textbook materials, collaborate with other students and to complete assignments. Sending the Chromebooks home will create more equitable opportunities for all students as they continue these important tasks away from the classroom.
After students return from winter break, they will receive a Chromebook from their school’s library through the check-out system. They will check out a Chromebook and be responsible for properly caring for it just as they would a library book or textbook.
In the next few weeks, you will receive a Chromebook Acknowledgement Form to sign and acknowledge this responsibility. (Download form below)
