Why JROTC?

MCJROTC Cadets are trained and educated on the importance of guiding principles that have been the bedrock of the Marine Corps since 1775.  There is no military service commitment, and participation in the MCJROTC program meets the CSU A-G Requirement for (G): College Prep Elective.

Since its inception in 1916, the national JROTC program has been viewed as a strong program that provides youth with much needed skills in citizenship and leadership. Students who participate in JROTC programs have better attendance, better grades, and superior graduation rates relative to students who are in general academic programs.
